Students’ Achievements

Ijazah

An Ijazah is a certificate that is granted to the students of a teacher after the latter is satisfied with the performance of the former – in terms of reading, memorization, and/or explanation.

An Ijazah in The Quran is the highest and noblest form of approval that grants a student the permission to teach what (s)he has learnt to others.

An Ijazah is often accompanied with a Sanad (a chain of narrators) that links the understanding of the student to the author of a specific work. In the case of The Glorious Quran, a Sanad connects the recitation of a student to his teachers and their teachers until The Prophet ﷺ.

Sheikh Dr. Youcef Bensala has traveled to Scholars around the world and has been granted Ijazah in various classical and contemporary works. He now dedicates his time to share his knowledge with his students and grants those who have mastered the subjects with Ijazahs.
